Company focused on aggressive global market expansion of cloud and endpoint security solution through key channel partners.
SYDNEY, Australia and PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL – September 15, 2012 – Wontok, Inc. today announced the launch of SafeCentral in the European market through a partnership with Germany-based security systems integrator, choin! GmbH. SafeCentral is a cloud and endpoint security solution that adds depth to IT defenses by filling gaps left by traditional security solutions. choin! is a trusted partner for many German enterprises and solutions providers, and is Wontok’s first European Gold Partner.
SafeCentral malware negation technology locks down the operating system and blocks any malware operation or vulnerability-based activity on the endpoint device. It then launches a hardened/secure-session browser, or VPN as required, enabling web or communications sessions to run without any threat to business operations or risk to personal or corporate data being hijacked or compromised. During the secure session, the user experience is maintained, and other than a visual cue that SafeCentral is active, there is minimal disruption to the user. “Wontok SafeCentral addresses the one major vulnerability left in provisioning desktop virtualization, BYOD, e-services, online banking and secure remote access; the endpoint device,” said Boris Wetzel, CEO of choin!. “Traditional antivirus and malware filtering products simply can’t keep up with the explosion of new online applications and malware that are emerging to exploit these vulnerabilities. Our testing has shown that SafeCentral prevents malware from functioning effectively at the operating system or kernel level, including malware that is already running on the endpoint.”
Wetzel added, “We see SafeCentral as the future of online services security on the endpoint, and are excited by the opportunity to attain Gold Partner status with Wontok.”
“Germany is a core EMEA market for Wontok, and choin! is the first of many security integrators coming on board as we rapidly introduce SafeCentral around the world,” stated Adam Tegg, CEO of Wontok. “The IT security space is crowded with solution providers that have been fighting online threats the same way with success measured in number of old threats blocked and how quickly they can respond with software updates to new threats. The world is ready for SafeCentral, which challenges the industry paradigm of malware filtering and delivers a more proactive, multi-layered approach to security.”
choin! and Wontok are demonstrating SafeCentral at the IT-SA Expo in Nuremburg, Germany October 16-18, 2012. Wontok is also a participating sponsor at the Citrix Synergy expo in Barcelona, Spain from October 17-19, 2012. Prospective partners and customers are invited to receive a SafeCentral demonstration and a fully functioning enterprise evaluation account at each of these events.
